The Burmese American Lawyers Association (“BALA”) is the first organization to support Burmese and Burmese-American legal professionals in the United States. Recognizing the barriers in accessing the legal system, BALA is a national bar association representing and supporting American legal professionals with roots in Myanmar/Burma.

Mission Statement

BALA supports the professional development of our members, offers community outreach and resources for the Burmese-American diaspora, provides networking opportunities for our members, increases access to legal services for the greater Burmese community, and fosters relationships with other legal organizations and the legal community.
